I am looking for Sarah Calhoun who married a Robinson and had children in Georgia. At
least three children survived: Mary (aka Minnie), Emma Calhoun Robinson b 1852, and Walter
John Robinson b 1857.
Her husband Mr Robinson may have been a farmer and a doctor; according to family notes he
was a landowner and had a few household slaves. Mr Robinson died (or she left Georgia?)
around end of Civil War.
Sarah Calhoun later remarried, possibly to a Mr Morris, and moved, maybe to Louisiana or
ArkLaTex area.
Her father MAY have been from Abbeville SC area, maybe James Calhoun.
Does anyone have any info on any Sarah Calhouns in Georgia born about the right time??
I have one hopeful who may be my Sarah:
Sarah Calhoun , daughter of James Calhoun and Sarah (Sallie) Martin
Born 9 May 1818 in Calhoun Mills SC
Does anyone know what happened to this Sarah born in 1818 Abbeville SC, if and who she
married and how and when she died?
I would be overwhelmed with joy and gratitude if there is anyone out there who can help me
place this particular Sarah or find my Sarah's parents.
Please email with any help or contact ideas. I am eternally grateful!
Diane
