SORRY LYNDA, I'M AFRAID THAT I CANT GIVE YOU ANY INFO ON "GAW".
I WAS GOING TO REFER YOU TO SOME CORRESPONDENCE THAT I HAD FROM A "GAW"
GENEALOGIST SENT SOME TIME AGO. BUT, THIS "GAW" CORRESPONDENT WAS YOU.
IN ANY EVENT, I AM SENDING THIS OUT TO "ABBEVILLE', LONG CANES, AND
"CALHOUN" HOPING SOMEONE WILL HAVE SOMETHING FOR YOU. GOOD
LUCK, TOM CALHOUN

Tom, I am looking for John CALHOUN. My ancestor, John GAW was a
witness to and listed as a debtor of in the will of James CALHOUN
(this James had 2 children, one son and one daughter, I don't have
access to my database right now so can't give you their names).
John GAW fought in the RW under a Capt. John CALHOUN and when GAW
died in 1788, his widow Violet m abt 1790 John CALHOUN. John,
Violet, and her 4-year old son John GAW then moved to Dearborn Co.,
then Parke Co., Indiana. John CALHOUN d abt 1823.
I am hoping finding out who this John CALHOUN is might lead me to
where my John GAW is from. They were together in Abbeville Co., SC;
was GAW with them during the southern migration from Pennsylvania?
did he join them along the way?
In your research of the CALHOUN family, have you come across
anything that might help you identify this particular John CALHOUN?
Thank you for any help you can give me.
