David Cowan, b. 1777 in Chester County PA married Margaret
Thomas (b. abt. 1790, Chester Co.) He died in Allegheny
County in 1868 and she in 1843 in Allegheny County. There
children were:
1. Eliza Cowan b. abt. 1819 married Joel Sickman
2. Rachel Cowan b. abt 1815 married Jesse Cunningham
3. Jane Cowan
4. Mary Cowan m. ? Irwin
5. Robert Cowan
6. Thomas Cowan
7. William Cowan (1805-1883) married Margaret Calhoun
8. John Cowan (1810-1883) married Louise Pryor
9. Samuel Cowan b. 4 June 1813 and died 1 Nov 1849. He
married Elizabeth [possibly Sickman] She was born 8 Feb 1809
and died 3 June 1879.
Samuel and Elizabeth's children:
1. Margaret b. abt. 1842
2. Harriet b. abt 1846 married David Jarvis
3. Jane Cowan b. abt 1838 d. 9 Feb 1897 married John
Stoffal.
