I believe the "Monument" was "erected by Rev. Alexander Calhoun (Sr.), b.
1662 or his son: Rev. Alexander Calhoun, Jr., b. 1658. Alex Calhoun Sr. was
my 6GGF and he was married to Lady Judith Hamilton.
Since you were at the grave site, do you have a copy of the info. on the
"Monument"???
Who was your GF "James Hamilton" married to???????

Yes.... My Calhoun relatives came to America in 1733.
Martha Mariah Calhoun is my gggrandmother, Her father was John Ewing
Calhoun, his father was Col. Joseph Calhoun, Sr., his father was William
Calhoun, his father was James Patrick Calhoun (wife's name was Catherine
Montgomery) my 5th great grandfather and grandmother. James' father was
Rev. Alexander Calhoun.
