I have been trying to connect these two families back in Germany.
The parents of George Dietrich Coehl/Kehl/Kail, b. 2 Sept 1685, Waldangelloch
(near Sinsheim) were Christoph Coehl and Elizabetha. George Dietrich Coehl m. 17
Jan 1713, Maria Ursula, bp. 3 Feb 1690, daughter of Michael Buckhenmeyer and
wife Catharine.
I believe the birthdate of 1726 (16 April 1726) belongs to one of their sons,
Hans
Jerg (John Geoge). This family arrived 1731 Philadelphia on the "Britannia".
See the book "Eighteenth Century Emigrants - The Northern Kraichgau", Annette
Kunselman Burgert, pages 191-192, for further information.
I have found nothing at all on David Kail/Kell/Cale in Germany but am still
looking, particularly in the Kusel area.

Can anyone clarify whether these two lines are connected, and how? I have
read the interesting account of David Kail, born 1716 in Electorate
Palatinate, Germany, sailing to Philadelphia in 1742 on the "Loyal Judith,
and I have read an account of Georg Dietrich Kail, (son of Christoph Coehl)
born 1726 in Elsenz, Waldangelloch, Germany, sailing to Philadelphia in 1742
on the "Brittania". Do they come from the same parents, or the same family?
It appears that Waldangelloch, a part of Baden-Wurttenberg, is fairly close
to the Palatinate area of Germany, which is Rheinland-Pfalz, the area next
to Baden-Wurttenberg.
