I am desperately seeking pictures of any of the Cales clan who lived
around Winfield KS. Andrew Jackson Cales, by great-grandfather, was the
patriarch. His wife was Elizabeth Fry. They had about a dozen children.
I would be interested in any and all pix. Also interested in any BROCK
pictures from the Brock family who lived in Winfield and/or Burden,
Cowley Co KS. Please, no other Brocks, there are 10K of them, not
related. My other gg was Richard Howard Brock, and he lived in and
around Cowley Co as did his parents, Holland and Letitia Brock.
If you have scanning capability, scan as .gif or .jpeg and send as an
attachment to e-mail. Or send a copy. I will scan it and return it to you.
I have received two messages lately promising a picture of Andrew
Jackson Cales. I'm anxiously awaiting [pant, pant!].
FYI, I got a phone call from a granddaughter of Cora, Andrew Jackson's
daughter. She is not on line, and did not authorize me to use her name.
If anyone is connected to this line, I can put you in touch with her.
Send your mail address and I will forward it.
Does anyone know the cause of death of Ira Cales, son of Andrew Jackson.
He is buried in East Salem Cemetery, Winfield KS. He died at 44 years of
age. For the record, I need a cause of death. It must have been an accident????
ALSO, I have been granted a GenConnect surname query board for CALES. It
is being created as we speak. I will notify you on line when it is
activated.
Happy Holidays!
