Thanks for your response. I think we traded notes a few weeks ago on the
Caldwells, and I sent you something about the descendants of Alexander of
Westmoreland Co PA. One of that Alexander's sons William had a son Robert
who fought in the Revolutionary War out of Pennsylvania, lived later in
Nicholas Co KY, and still later as an old man went to Indiana "to be with
his sons." He supposedly went to Marion Co but actually died in Rush Co. He
had sons all over. I learned a lot about Robert and then discovered that he
was not my ancestor. Wasn't your Alexander who m a Coshow one of Robert's
sons?

Hi-sorry, we may indeed have corresponded. My Samuel MAT have been the
son of Alexander MONTGOMERY. As far as I know, the Alexander (b. abt.
1771, d. 1811?) I was referring to m. Catherine King in 1797 and was
from Lancaster District, SC. I believe this Alexander d. in Adams Co.
