Dear Sandra,
Did you find the book? I have Caldwells around that time period in
Talladega Co. Please let me know if you find the book; I seem to had
"hit the stone wall" where Joseph B. Caldwell b 1841 in Barnwell Dist.,
SC. is concerned.
Thanks,
Pauline Robinson Lee

Hello to my Caldwell Cousins (direct and otherwise)
As a new subscriber, I imagine that the info I have regrading my
Caldwell
connection is either limited or old news. I have just recently
started
researching my family lines and was not aware of any of my ancestors
past my
great-grand parents until March of this year. But I have made
progress!
I found my my 3rd great grandmother on my MANN side of the family was
Virginia Susan Caldwell b. 1823 in VA d. 1872 in Al. She was living
in SC at
one time (between VA and AL). She was married to John Ulmer Molette
on Feb
15, 1840 in Tuscaloosa , Al at the home of her uncle -John Drish, MD.
You would think that with all this information I would know who her
parents
were. I don't. I was told by a Molette cousin that Virginia Susan
Caldwell's
family was traced and published a few years ago in a book about Joesph
Caldwell of Lunenburg (maybe Louden) Co, Va. Does any one have that
book or
know where I might get a copy? I would really like to learn more
about
Virgina since my sister is her name sake (Susan)- something that was
discovered just this year.
I also have other Caldwell family (not direct) mingled throughout my
LYLE
family from TN, KY, VA & GA and possibly in my ULMER family from SC,
Al & FL.
I will be more than happy to share the Caldwell names that I have
with
anyone even if I don't know who or how they connect to my direct
lines.
