On Nov 10, 1834 Saml CALDWELL was a minor over 14 yrs. Wm CALDWELL was the
former gdn Sett. made Mar 11, 1843. Evidence of T. P. SPIERIN taken by
consent. Saml CALDWELL the minor came to his house April 1832 and
continued to live with witness until April 8, 1836. At first the witness
did not intend to charge the ward with board, but on justice to his own
chn. he afterwards did make the charge. The ward had his hand shot off
while living with witness. The ward was brought to his house by Mr HENRY
on a visit. He was anxious to live with Mr. SPIERIN and on this acct. Mr.
SPIERIN kept him. Expend: To boarding Saml CALDWELL from April 5 to Jan
1, 1836 at $6.00 per month deducting therefrom 3 months absence at school
on Rocky River with Col. Wm H CALDWELL $251.00. April 8, 1836 Paid
