My husband's grandmother was an only surviving child (Blanche Ella
CALDWELL) of Henry W. Caldwell and Anna Williams. Henry's father was
James CALDWELL (b. 6/12/1815) in Allegany NY. Blanche married Holsea
Marble LANE. (His mother was a MARBLE). The funny thing is that the
Marbles and Lanes were in Montgomery County around 1775, 1797-1850
respectively.

Funny you should put the two names together cause I have
CALDWELL/LANE
Ancestors. How did the two names meet or didnt they.

We have relatives who are CALDWELL and we currently live on
a farm owned
by them. Our LANE relatives came from Montgomery County (town of
Glen).
I wonder if they traveled together?
We also have a Susanna BRADT that married a MARBLE
