Craig, if you have David Caldwell in your line and he is married to Sarah
Brice then we are related. Sarah Brice was the sister of my
GGGG-grandmother
Mary Brice Harrison. I do not know anything more on David so maybe
you can
send me what you have on your Caldwell data. This is not verified but
someone
had given me these names for David's parents:
Descendants of Joseph Caldwell
1 Joseph Caldwell b: Abt. 1740 d: 1810 in Harrison County, Kentucky
.. +Mary ? b: Unknown d: Unknown in Harrison County, Kentucky
*2nd Wife of Joseph Caldwell:
.. +Isabel Cochran b: Abt. 1740 d: Unknown in Harrison County,
Kentucky
........ 2 David Caldwell b: September 10, 1765 in Pennsylvania or
Ireland d: Abt. December 1833 in Harrison County, Kentucky
............ +Sarah Brice b: September 06, 1771 in Bourbon County,
Kentucky d: June 04, 1813 in Harrison County, Kentucky
I can't say if Isobel or Mary was his mother as this is not
verified/proven.
Have a nice day ~ Kathie Harrison
Kathie,
Unfortunately, I don't have any more information on David than you gave in
your posting. Of Joseph's 6 children, I have extensive documentation on
James' descendents and am 90% certain about Michael's line in Ohio. but, for
the other sons, all I have is there names. I don't know whether my David was
married to Sarah Brice, but brought it up as a possibility, given the
information you posted above and the statements I have that Joseph Jr.,
David, Andrew and their father emigrated to Kentucky.
There was a second Joseph Caldwell living in Westmoreland County at the same
time and in the same general area as my Joseph but his children were Robert,
Mary, Agnes, Hannah, John, and Joseph, Jr. There was no David. (Will of
Joseph Caldwell 30 Apr 1802). I believe that this is the line which John
Caldwell has been researching.
To date I've not been able to unearth any more information on Joseph but
will keep looking and let you know if any connection can be made.
Craig
