Hi Norma -
I saw your message that you had quite a bit of information on the SC
Caldwells. I'm hoping that you might be able to solve three of my life's
greatest mysteries.
I believe my gr.gr.gr.grandfather was Henry C. (Caldwell?) Palmer. He was
probably born ca. 1760-1770 in SC. In 1796, he married Mary Logan
Caldwell,
daughter of Robert Caldwell and Mary Logan - and granddaughter of
John F.
"Cub Creek John" Caldwell.
Mystery #1 Was Henry C. Palmer b. in SC?
Mystery #2 Was his middle name Caldwell?
Mystery #3 It is quite a coincidence that if his middle name was
Caldwell,
that he also married a Caldwell. Where his middle name came from?
I wonder if any of your records might indicate any Palmers marrying any
Caldwells. This might explain where Henry's middle name came from. It
might also give me another generation or two, or three of Henry's
ancestry.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Thank you.
Don Sherrill - Phoenix
