I am interested in your Charles Caldwell as my Samuel Caldwell, I believe
was born in Ohio, in 1836 but I don't know for sure. I think he at least
lived in Ohio for a while if was not born. I know he was here in America in
1863 as he was married in Morning Sun, Louisa, Iowa, USA to Margaret Wylie
Willson . They had 7 children. If this fits with any of your line, Let me
know and I can furnish more info also. Thanks, Lorianne.

Sylvia, I don't know of a Samuel Caldwell in my line but then I
have not
identified any sibling of my GGF. Charles Caldwell was born in 1837 in
Donegal County in the same or near the same parish where the genealogy
service is but at the moment the name escapes me.
I'm assuming for the time being Charles' siblings were born about yearly
on
one or either side of 1837. He came to America in 1853, was in
Lawrence
and
Scioto counties in Ohio getting married in 1862 in Lawrence County
and
moved
immediately to Western PA. He stayed there until 1865 having one son,
Dennis,
in 1863 then moving back to Ohio. He went back to Lawrence County
then to
Athens County and stayed there until his death in 1904 or 5.
I have to believe Caldwells born between 1827 and 1847 could be Charles'
siblings. some may have preceded or followed him to PA and/or Ohio.
If anyone has Caldwells who could fit that criteria I would be interested
in
their names, siblings, parents, etc. I can provide much information
if I
ever
get a link.
