Barbara,
You are right about how large the Caldwells are. My line starts with
Samuel and Elizabeth (Page) Caldwell from Pennsylvania. They had a John who
married Sarah Ann Armstrong in Virginia. They settled in Kentucky and are
buried there.
Best of Luck,
Bill C.

I am new to the list, but wanted to post my Caldwell Connection:

son Joseph my line
Joseph C. m. Jane McGhie
son John m. Margaret Phillips ( my line)
John F. C. m. Margaret Phillips
son Robert m. Mary Logan (my line)

Wm. P.C. Caldwell m. Jane Jackson
son James Samuel m. Jane Mott (my line)
James Samuel C. m. Jane Mott
son Alvin Eugene Caldwell m. Nettie Payne (my Grandfather)
I did not give dates on all of these..nor states they supposedly resided
in....but thought this would give an idea of how I am connected to this
line.
The basic dates go from 1630 through present day. The main states
are
Pennsylvania, Virginia, Kentucky, Missouri, and Texas. I have extended
families in South Carolina, Tenn, etc
The Caldwells are prolific and the names are repeated so often that it is
maddening to try and untangle them!
If anyone is related to any of my line, I would love to hear from you and
exchange information! I am new to this and may not have much to
share...but
whatever I have I will gladly give out.
