RAYMOND MOORE CALDWELL, 86, of 274 Main St., Leechburg, PA died suddenly on
Sunday August 17, 2003 in Allegheny Kiski Medical Center, Natrona Heights, PA.
He was born January 19, 1917 in Beaver Falls, PA to John Williamson and
Ethel Mae (FLICK) CALDWELL.
Mr. CALDWELL retired from Allegheny Ludlum in 1979. He was a police officer
in Leechburg for 35 years, retiring in 1998. An Army veteran, he served
during World War II and the Korean War. He was a member of the Gray Stone
Presbyterian Church, Leechburg and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was a
life long resident of Leechburg.
Survivors include one son, Don Lee (Judi) CALDWELL of Marietta, GA.,five
daughters, Patricia Ann CALDWELL of North Fort Myers, FL., Mrs. Judith K.
(James) FORD of Coatesville, PA., Mrs. Susan (Ed) HARWICK of East
Vandergrift, PA., Mrs. Mimi (Bob) LATTANZIO of Bloomington, IL. and Mrs.
Martha (Gordon) DAVIDSON of Leechburg. Also surviving are a niece Mrs.
Sandra Jean (Joe) CALDWELL KERNS of Edmonton,KY and one nephew William F.
CALDWELL of Norristown, PA.
He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, Mrs. Laurie Lee (Vince) CALLOWAY
MULLAY of Rehoboth Beach, DE., Ronald Lee (Lisa) CALLOWAY of Lake Zurich,
IL., Mrs. Angela M. (Eric) TRIDENTE GATTI of Elkton, MD., Ms. Alexis
CALDWELL of Australia., Mrs. Lisa K. (Rick) STAPLEFORD JONES of West Grove,
PA., Mrs. Penny (John) STAPLEFORD SARRO of Unionville, PA., Daniel
STAPLEFORD of Media., PA., Mrs. Julie HARWICK IRWIN., Ms. Mindy HARWICK.,
Scott HARWICK., Kelly DAVIDSON., Jennie DAVIDSON all from the Leechburg
area and Abby LATTANZIO of Bloomington, IL., and 12 great- grandchildren.
He was looking forward to the birth of his 13th great-grandchild next March.
He was preceded in death by his second wife, Jennie KNELL CALDWELL., a
grandson Robert STAPLEFORD of Wilmington, DE., his parents John and Ethel
(FLICK) CALDWELL of Leechburg, PA., his grandparents William Worrall and
Jennice Crawford (KENNEDY) CALDWELL of Aliquippa, PA., and James C. and
Adaline (FRANKLIN) FLICK of Freeport, PA., and two brothers William Worrall
CALDWELL of Norristown, PA and DeWitt Williamson CALDWELL of Chandler, AZ.
His first wife Doris Lorraine GRIM KINTER died in 1968.
Friends will be received from 2PM to 4PM and 7PM to 9PM on Thursday August
21 in CURRAN FUNERAL HOME, 300 Market St., Leechburg, PA where funeral
services will be at 10AM on Friday August 22. The Rev. Gary Lyons will
officiate. Burial will be in St. Michael Cemetery, Brick Church.
