Thank you, John, for stating the problem much more succinctly than did I.
Your blood pressure must be lower than mine! ;o} Sorry if my response
regarding copyrights was off-topic. Hope the administrator will respond to
our concerns so we can lay this subject to rest.
I have already complained loudly to Rootsweb - - they say their hands are
tied and they must bow to the wishes of the new owner. That does not
explain, to me, why some Rootsweb lists continue the old format (message in
email) and others have gone to the new round-about method (click on URL to
Message Board to look at the message posted and see if you want to read it
or delete it.....etc. etc. etc....).
I wonder if some List Administrators just do not know how to utilize or
circumvent Rootswebs new software, imposed upon them by the new owners.
Even Rootsweb personnel told me that they do not like the new software as
much as the old, but they have to use it.

I'm sorry, but copyright infringement in this case is just
a BS excuse. This isn't the place to get into "fair use",
or copyrighting message boards post discussions.
Jane & Martha make a valid point. In the end, keep it the
way it is now and expect people to not bother, thereby
diminishing the value of the forum; or, change it back to
the way it was and continue business as usual.
Best regards,
John Caldwell

Infringement of copyrights has to be considered, and to
get around this, a
link to the site where the info is posted for every one to
use, is the way to
get around this. Please take the time.
