Majorie,
I would greatly appreciate your listing of John's children and place of
birth of the children for each of his two wives. I'm especially interested
in Isaac Caldwell (b. 1795 to Jane. My GG-Grandfather.). He became Judge
Caldwell in MS. Subsequently shot and killed in a duel in Hinds Co., MS in
1836 - that's assuming he is the Isaac that is the son of John and Jane
(according to MS property records, there is a John B. Caldwell alive in
1837).
Regards,
Herb Clark

Subject: Re: [CALDWELL] Warner: re DAR question
I think I have missed some of the first emails in this discussion but
as a
DAR member I have access to the members only site and I looked up John
Caldwell. There is a number of John Caldwell's (I didn't even enter any
other spelling for Caldwell) The one that was married to first to Dicey
Mann
and second to Jean Neely Walker show that his information needs to be
reproved for anyone new to join on this line. Which means something in the
application and/or documentation is possibly wrong and needs more proof or
it could be that someone else has proven this information for another John
Caldwell. (We had this happen within our local chapter and had to find new
proof)
I can give you the information that is shown on this John Caldwell as far
as
birth, death, residence, children and service, then I can give it to you
if
this is what you are looking to find. If there is another Caldwell that
you
would like to see if they served and have been proven for DAR then I can
check that also.
