Shirley,
I am researching the Taylor line and I find no Jonathan Taylor
in any of the three different lines of Taylors...
Does Jonathan have any other name...and can you give me dates
maybe can track him that way...
As for Nancy Caldwell on that line I don't show a JonathanTaylor
either.... Help maybe we can locate them?
eMail me at <ronmarg(a)infowest.com>
My grandparents on bothsides go into the Taylors & Caldwells..
God bless us all....
Later..

Does anyone have any information on Nancy Caldwell who
married Jonathan Taylor on 11/27/1846 in Talladega,
AL? She was born approximately 1828 in GA, according
to the census'. She married Jonathan Taylor.
Apparently, he died. She then married David Nation in
Ellis County, TX in 1876.
Her children by Jonathan Taylor listed on the
1870/1880 Ellis County TX census were John (b. abt.
1856), Nancy (b. abt. 1862), and Sophronia/Paloma (b.
abt. 1865). After she was with David Nation, she had
a daughter named Fannie (b. abt. 1872) - they did not
marry until 1876.
She may have been married to a "Barnes" in between
Taylor and Nation. When she married David Nation, the
certificate was issued to Nancy V. Barnes.
Did she have children older than John, Nancy and
Paloma? There was a 10 year gap between her marriage
to Jonathan Taylor and the birth of John. I can only
assume there were older children who were married by
the time I find her on the 1870 census.
Please help if you can.
