I'm not sure if my Caldwells came from the East (Albany,Long Island
direction) or the South (Pennsylvania area), but I will keep your
information for when I find out more.

I am also researching N.Y. Caldwells.
Samuel B. Caldwell dob April 1871 lived in Brooklyn in 1900.
Wife in 1900 was Martinna. They had a son James S. Caldwell (first
born?)..his dob Nov 1898..According to the 1900 N.Y. Census they
lived at
129 Putnam Ave. Brooklyn, N.Y.
Any connection here?
