Do you have anything on the line descending from William Caldwell and Agnes Givens,
daughter of Edward Givens?

beginning there with Joseph who had three sons and five daughters. Of the three sons, one
(my line) went to Ohio in 1808. I don't know what happened to the other two. One, a
Robert is said to have married an Elizabeth Alexander. Robert was born 1759. The only data
I have on the other brother is that his name was Joseph (son of Joseph) and born abt.
1769.
There was a Craig Caldwell looking for another Joseph Caldwell who immigrated with his
family from County Derry, Ireland in 1769 and fist settled in Sherman Valley, Perry
County, PA. By 1780 he had moved his family to Sewickley Creek, Westmoreland County. He
later traveled to Kentucky where he resided for some time. The date and place of death are
unknown.
This Joseph had six children; Joseph, David, Matthew, Andrew, James and Polly. Joseph,
David and Andrew settled in Kentucky. Matthew located in Ohio and owned land near Piqua.
I don't have anything more on the line Craig was looking for, but I hope some of this
helps.
John Caldwell
