Renee,
This could possibly be my great great grandfather.I sure wish you knew more about
him and his family. My great grandfather is James Walter( J.W) CALDWELL.When my
grandpa and uncle were born, they lived in Obion county Tennessee.this is very
close to the Kentucky line.I was told that Kentucky is where my g-g-grandfather
was from.So this just may be him.Does it give a clue to what county he may have
lived in?Maybe I should start in Kentucky.I have not found but one thing on my
great grandfather from Obion county and that was a deed.A distant cousin of James'
wife Ida Parrish sent it to me.She is researching the Parrish side.which is my
great grandmothers surname.I would love to take a look at your Caldwell family
file.
You really have me over-excited right now.I'm crossing my fingers!

Hello, List,
Does anybody know of a "J.W. Caldwell of Kentucky" who may have been a
clergyman? My great-grandmother was Margaret Caldwell, born 1850 in
Philadelphia, daughter of Edward Caldwell and Elizabeth, married in
Ontario, Canada in 1870 to Arthur Little. She made a note in her bible
saying she was baptized on September 18, 1882 by J.W. Caldwell of
Kentucky. Her husband Arthur Little was baptized one week earlier, also
by J.W. Caldwell. I am wondering if this J.W. Caldwell was a relative of
Margaret's. Anybody have any ideas?
