I find this of interest also. My 3rd great grandfather Rev. John McDowell
married Elizabeth Caldwell in Haywood Co. NC in 1815. Rev. John McDowells
great grandmother was Elizabeth (Templeton) m William McDowell in 1772 Rowen
County, NC and settled in Burke Co later became Haywood Co. NC Did any of
your Caldwells end up in Haywood Co NC or TN?
Thanks,
Diana

Sharon,
This sounds familiar to me too. I will pull out my Caldwell notes and check
it for you today. Hope it turns up some new information.

if this name sounds familiar please contact me. I believe that she lived
in
one of the Carolinas if not both or maybe not. She married Samuel
Johnson
Forester. That is all that I know about her. Any help would be
appreciated.
Thanks Sharon
