Rendered as faithfully as I could, I have left out some mid sentence capitalization, I
would really like to know how these people are connected to my people:

Hi There: I got your letter this past Sunday at Vivian I moved to Plain Dealing, La.
over about a year ago. I was glad to hear that you found out about dad from Sam Allred, I
called them on Sunday. I heard from the Caldwell side of the family most I never knew.
Frank flew in the day dad past away. He got there about four hours before. He was in the
hospital from the 19th day of August. It started out as an ulser. He died of cancer I
suppose about the same way as Grand-dad. He had a light stroke and he never knew too much.
I stayed at home during Thanksgiving. I was able to talk to him some. My mother's
health is not to good at this time. She had a lot of worry during the sickness. My aunt
Pauline remarried last june. She and Aunt Mattie were here with us. I am the head coach
here at this high school. I can retire in about 10 years. My baby boy is in the first
grade. My boys sure loved their grand-dad. He stayed with us about 30 days out of the
year to hunt with!
me. He killed a deer last year I fish and hunt alot. Frank lives in Lockport, Ill. He
works for Reynoldds Metals. He went back home Sunday. I guess I had better close for
now. Let me hear from you. As Ever J.W. Caldwell, Rt #2 Box 269A, Plain Dealing, LA
