Look in Logan, Livingston, Mercer and Lincoln county. Caldwells were in all those
counties by 1800. Also, Caldwell county.
I have David Varner Caldwell (1753 - 1840) His youngest son, born 1799 was Samuel
Caldwell. However, I have no record of a Samuel born 1837.
Good luck. Lloyd

I've traced my ancestors to Samuel and Almarinda (Rinda) in Mo. The census says that
they were born in KY in 1837 and 1838 respectively. Kentucky is a large state, even back
then, and I am not sure where to go from here. Does anyone have any clue?
Their children were Will, Uysses, Usa, Lula, Melzina and Calvin.
