I am not sure if we tie in but my Caldwells were in that area and James is a
family name. William Caldwell b. 1760 had a son named James (James' brother
Paul is my direct line). Paul also had a son James and so forth. They were
from the Johnstown area and moved to Ephratah, N.Y. around 1800. If you
think there is a connection let me know and I will fill you in on what I
have.
