This must be the one you are referring to...? I really don't know who all
of these families connect to, but in the CALDWELL Genealogy from "The Old
Free State, there is sure a CALDWELL/RODGERS connection. Audrey

Hi, Audrey
We exchanged information quite a while ago. Just last week I came across
some Caldwell data from the SC Council that you had sent me. It was very
useful to see it again.
I don't know much about Union District, but am interested to see another
Caldwell and Rodgers connection. Do you have any more on the Rodgers
mentioned in this James Caldwell's will? Are they from the Cub Creek
group
in Charlotte Cty VA ?
My Caldwell interests are twofold: 1. Patrick Rodgers of Laurens
(Beaverdam
Creek area) married Jane Caldwell. They both died about 1805. She
had
brothers Samuel, Robert and sister Laney Jason. Who where their parents?
2. My Robert Caldwell in Meriwether Cty GA was born in Newberry SC in 1784
and married Janet McLees. He died in GA in 1844. His son wrote a letter in
which he said his grandparents were James and Mary Caldwell of SC. Several
DAR members have concluded that they were James Caldwell and Mary Forrest.
Other Caldwell researchers say definitely not. Who were my Robert's
parents?
