I William CALDWELL of Spartanburg Dist. Being at this time of sound and
disposing mind and memory and understanding. I will unto my beloved wife
Margaret CALDWELL, the tract of land whereon I now live, containing about
300 acres, also one negro girl named Malinda, all cash on hadn and debts due
me, to have and hold during her life or widowhood. After her death, I will
unto my son WILLIAM HARVEY CALDWELL the tract of land mentioned above. I
give to my dtrs. Margaret and Ellenor CALDWELL, to have and receive their
support from the plantation while they remain single. In the event my wife
remain a widow, I will, devise and direct that she dispose of all personal
property among my children as she thing proper, according to the dictates of
her own judgement. I appoint John CRAWFORD, Esq., John & James CALDWELL
