Hello,
The plot thickens as they say. As it turns out now, I am still not absolutely sure of my
grandmothers maiden (surname) name! It would be nice to know my grandmothers surname.
The copy of the Marriage Register came today. The Leslie Co. Clerk included a Marriage
License and Marriage Certificate which showed her previous marriage to JAMES NAPIER!!
Changes are:
CATHERINE ? SAYLOR NAPIER CALDWELL b ca Jan 1860, died ca. 1904 Leslie Co. KY?
1st ? Marriage : CATHERINE SAYLOR to JAMES NAPIER 21 Jan.1886 Leslie Co. KY.
Witnesses; Aron Roark and Robert Helton.
2nd ? Marriage : CATHERINE NAPIER to JACOB C. CALDWELL 10 Oct. 1889, Leslie
Co. KY. Witnesses; George and Martha J. Grass.
I am thinking that she may have had another marriage before the NAPIER
because if her birthdate is correct, that would mean that she didn't marry
until she was 26 which I find highly unlikely.
So, I have some SAYLOR info and some dates, now I need to figure out where to go from
here!!?? Ideas Welcome! Does anyone recognize these names?
Grateful & Bewildered,
Elizabeth Caldwell
