Hello all, I receive the digest version on of the list to keep my incoming message number
down. Averaging 300-400 messages a day in the course of normal business, it makes it much
easier for me to read and follow.
The fallout is that I end up replying to several posts in one message, so please bear with
me.
First, I'd like to offer kudos to Kathie for running a tight ship in regard to this
list. It's easy to get off track at times, and that's a quick way for lists such
as this to disinegrate.
To Gail RE: George Caldwell - What year was your earliest George born in MA?
To all RE: "Grumpy" - I wouldn't actually call it grumpy as much as I would
aggressive with a low tolerance for excuses and stupidity. ;)
My deadend - Does anyone have any data on the children of George Caldwell & Jane
Phillips?
I was given data by a well respected Caldwell researcher some time ago which indicated
that George and Jane had a least one son named William who married an Elizabeth. Children
of William and Elizabeth were given to me as Joseph, James, Robert, William, Mary, Elinor,
Martha, and Agness with the oldest child born abt 1740 and the youngest abt 1761.
From this, I was told that "my" Joseph b. 1740 was the son
of William and Elizabeth. To date I have not been able to find enough source information
to verify this connection.
I have quite a bit of data online at
http://caldwellgenealogy.com collected and compiled
from several sources. If you happen to take a look, please contact me if you see anything
in need of correction.
Thanks,
John Caldwell
