Hi Dawn,
I have a James from about that time. Son of John T Caldwell b. 3 April 1776 in
Westmoreland Co PA. m. Elizabeth Eackler. Both burried in Plat -9- Lot -5 in Hawley
Cemetery, Paris Township near Palmyra, Ohio.
Three of John T's grandsons, James (not Thompson), Levi, and Nicholas went by covered
wagon to Iowa in 1855 and settled in Wayne Co. IA.
Feel free to look around at

John Caldwell

Received a new clue on the missing parents of my JAMES THOMPSON CALDWELL BORN
1820 in Union County Ohio. Died January 18, 1894 in Washington, Washington
County Iowa.
The census information below says that JAMES THOMPSON CALDWELL's (who went by
Thompson Caldwell) parents were born in NJ and PA. This family would have
been in Ohio by 1820 and went to Iowa by wagon in 1855.Does anyone have a
Caldwell family with a missing James or Thompson whose father was born in NJ
and mother in PA?
I know its a long shot.......
