Message Board Post:
I am interested in finding out the date of death and location of death for
Fred J. Caldwell and his wife Cora King. Fred was born in N.C. in 1885 and
later moved to California where he became an early silent film director,
actor, and writer. He married his wife who was from CA from while in CA.
He seems to disappear from the records after 1926 and may have died
sometime before 1930. His father was Gilbert Caldwell and he is listed in
the 1900 N.C. Census for Iredell County as having a son Fred J. Caldwell
as a 15 year old. Fred is sending letters back to N.C. in 1913 from Los
Angeles. I would appreciate any help in learning what became of him and
his wife.
