I am Marianne McCoy, and I too am a great-great granddaughter of Dr. G. W. Caldwell. W.
Millard McCoy was my great grandfather and married Jennie Caldwell. Their son George
Washington McCoy was my grandfather. G.W. McCoy married Alvina Braun, and had 3 children:
Irvin, George Haven, and Eleanor. All are deceased. My father was George Haven McCoy
and is buried on the outskirts of Irvona, PA at St. Basil's cemetary. Dr. G. W.
Caldwell is buried at the Cross Roads Cemetary in Utahville. Although Dr. G. W. Caldwell
is not listed on any of the ancestry information I have seen about the Cross Roads
Cemetary, nontheless, there is a large burial monument there. His wives and some of his
children are also buried there. My father took me to Cross Roads and Utahville Cemetaries
many times when I was younger. G.W. McCoy and Alvina McCoy, and Irvin and Caroline McCoy
are buried at the Utahville cemetary. Eleanor McCoy is in All Souls Cemetary in
Chesterland, Ohio. At the McCo!
y family location at Cross Roads is a really cool logo of the "McCoy" name. My
mother and I put that logo on my father's headstone. I was surprised from your post,
that Dr. Caldwell was married to a Nevling. I've passed the Nevling cemetary many
times, and never realized the old family relationship.
