I have a big brick wall. My ggrandmother Amanda (Manda, Mandy) Caldwell b.1842, Iowa, d.
1932, graves co., Ky. On the copy of her death certificate, her mother is listed as Sally
Koleman, her father Mr. Caldwell. Amanda m. Mr. Calhoun (can't find where or which
calhoun) In the 1920 census she states she was 1st married at age 29, so 1869. My
grandmother, Beulah(Bulah) Calhoun was born in Mo., 1881 and she was the youngest. Her
siblings were Emma & Arthur. I only think this is right, Things told by my mother, and
she is gone. By 1900 Amanda is a widow and Beulah is in school. Amanda is a farmer. In
the 1920 census she is living with Beulah and Boyd Adams in Martin, Tn. On different
census she has her parents born tn-tn, ky.-tn, france-ky. I am at a standstill on this. In
1930 the family is in Graves co., Ky. I've tried using migration info for particular
years and i have looked at a few million Caldwells & Calhouns with all the
spellings......i'm lost.
Does anyone have any information on these Calhon & Caldwell families? I'm going
bald and out of my mind i think...
Thank you

Gwendolyn:
So, you are searching for Amanda's parents (siblings too?) and her Calhoun spouse? In
what specific census years do you start finding the family and where (town/county/state)?
