I believe this Robert Caldwell is my ancestor through his son Robert. The son Robert left SC and moved through TN and KY to Marion, Williamson Co IL, then to Johnson Co. IL. Robert died in Johnson Co IL about 1864. His wife's name was Linna. I appreciate any help you can provide on this family. I am glad to share the information I have. Thank you.

I am doing some research on Noah Ammons and Susanna Caldwell. I was wondering if I could get a scanned copy or a copy mailed to me in the mail of the Will.
Do you have any information on Susanna Caldwell's death? I have not found any info on this either.
I would appreciate any help I can get.

Boyd:
I am not aware of any of my Caldwell's ending up in Hempstead Co.; however, they could have. A whole group of them went to Oklahoma. They initially went to Tillman Co., OK and are now scattered out all over the state, Tulsa, Oklahoma City, Hugo, and a number of other counties.
Boyd my book which is at the publishers now is almost a rest of the story from Spartanburg, SC. They went into Bedford Co, TN, Lawrenceburg, TN , AR and some then into Texas and many as I've said into OK.
My position on the 1772 ship story is that every history book in Spartanburg says the Caldwell's arrived in Spartanburg in 1767. The dates of the birth of the children cannot match the ship coming in 1772 as well as much, much other stuff. If the 1772 date is right, then tons of other stuff is wrong. Which are you going to ignore? I would like for us to be factual, very factual
but then this may not be your family.
Boyd I am in Pine Bluff and would be happy to compare material. Just give me some more detail to go on. there are a lot of auxilary family members and on ours I have traced all or mostly all the other brothers and sisters. Our home town and immediate Caldwell's are in St. Francis and Cross County.

Would like information on Andrew Caldwell born before 1755 married to Margaret Sessions. He might have been born in TN, KY or further East. Don't know his father's name but his mother's last name was Sessions. Andrew and Margaret had Andrew Jackson Caldwell born 1775 in TN. He was married to Sirena (Francina) Hardwick on June 5, 1795 in Madison Co., KY. They moved to TN and then to Hempstead Co., AR in the 1820's. Andrew stayed until about 1847 where he left all of his 14 children and their families and went "BACK" to Lexington, Fayette Co., KY where he made out a will and died in February, 1848. The "rumor" is that there is "indian" in this family but don't know just where it comes thru. I do know that Andrew Jackson Caldwell's great grandson, Matthew Fontaine Caldwell was listed on a couple of the 1900's indian census in McCurtain Co., OK. He was the father of Bennie Iva Blanche Caldwell Barrow of Bonnie and Clyde fame. She was married to Marvin Ivan "Buck" Barrow!
, Clyde's brother.

Nora, I am interested in your Caldwell line. My Caldwell line ended up in Hempstead Co., AR and the edge of McCurtain Co., OK. They came from TN but haven't gotten any further back as far as location goes. Time wise I'm
looking at 1775. I would like to know more about this "Caldwell Book".

I am still trying to find information on Pinckney Blann Caldwell
son of William Rutledge Caldwell and Frances Blann from coahoma, ms.
Pinckney had a brother named Willie. Pinckney was my grandfather. His
son, Bobby Gene Caldwell, still living, is my dad. I would love to
have any info AND emails from any relatives. I have had a few contacts
but not many. Pinckney had several children with first wife Amanda
Baker. He then married Clara Bounds and had two children, my dad and a
daughter called betty jo but I think was really named Clara Francis.
She died as a toddler. I have several older pictures of the caldwells
and would like to share if anyone is interested. just the other day at
my mom and dads we found pictures of the gravesites where pinckney was
buried and i am assuming it was on the day of the burial or close to
it as there was still flowers mounded on the grave. also if anyone
has any info on pinckney's wife amanda or clara please send it on to
me. my email is shug(a)progressivetel.com[1] . no matter how much or how
little please send the info. my dad is going to be 83 this year and
while he is still alive he is in failing health. we would like to hear
from anyone with any info. also i have heard mentioned in this group
of a caldwell book. i would like any info on how to obtain this book.
thanks for any help you can provide.
