Good Morning
Are you familiar with the book *Reflections of Cataloochee Valley and its
Vanished People in the Great Smokey Mountains* by Hattie Caldwell Davis? We were
in Maggie Valley a couple of summers ago and also met a Caldwell lady who was
in her 90's but thought she was still 60. Boy was she sharp and active and
still lived by herself.

Thank you, soldiersource. Your information is very helpful. We didn't know that Milton had been in the army but, because of you, I was able to find records of his other enlistments. How would I find out more about his medal?
We located a grave in Marshall,MO. which we believe is Perry's. The gravestone said he died in 1900 and was "about 40." We don't know how he died. Would there be a way to find records on funeral homes that were located near Marshall?
I have a feeling Perry got into some trouble either before or after his family came back to Ohio in 1884. Is there a way to check inmates in Kansas prisons?
How in the world did you learn about the bald eagle?!
We really appreciated the printout of Milton's enlistment.
Thanks again!
