I'm looking for a Caldwell male from NJ who married a Thompson female from OH. Both would have been born 1800 or before.
One of their children James was born in OH in 1820. I am going by a Census from 1880 for James Thompson Caldwell ....He went by Thompson in the 1880 census. I know this is a long shot, but I'm trying every combination I can think of to find a possible connection.
Thanks for any help you can possibly provide.

I an researching the Greene Co. GA. Caldwells. It is believed that this line goes back to John Caldwell,Sr., who was born ca 1750 in Maryland. John died in October 1839 in Chambers Co., Alabama. William Caldwell, son of John was born ca 1780 also in Maryland. I would appreciate any information on this family.
Thanks
Peggy
