I felt like I had to share this article with some of the other lists in case they had some relatives in this cemetery. I certainly hope they find the culprits.

I also do not have birth records. He was married toa Sarah Fonderen, born in Ireland. They evidentially married in SC. Do you have anything on him. Any help will be appreciated.

Looking for information regarding Robert Caldwell who appears first in the 1837-38 Brooklyn City Directory at Smith n Dean in Brooklyn. In 1838-39 he is at Smith n Bergen. He is not on the 1839-40 directory but he is on the 1840 census 6th Ward with one male 10-15, one male 40-50, one female under 5, one female 10-15 and one female 30-40. He is again in the 1841-42 directory at Baltic n Hoyt. In 1843-44 he is listed as a fur dyer and dresser at Warren n Hoyt. His listing is the same 44-45 but he is not in the subsequent directories. He is on the 1850 census with wife Elena and Ann age 20, Elizabeth age 11, Rachael age 8, Rebecca age 5. He and his wife were both born Ireland, all younger females are born NY. I would like to determine if he is the father of Isabella Caldwell who married John or Alex Birkbeck in NYC Oct 1840. She was born about 1823.
With all the Caldwell researchers out there, surely someone has my gg
grandmother, Mary (Polly) Caldwell, (b, Georgia ca 1802- d. ca 1890), in their files.
She has been my brick wall.

Does anyone have any CALDWELL'S from Rockingham County Virginia?
Mine are:
Franklin (Frank) Caldwell (Colwell, Calwell) b ABT 1853 married Annie
Unknown
son Lorenzo Hinton Caldwell b 1879 married Eva Ritchie
son Robert Franklin Caldwell b 1904 married Knootz Lucretia Snyder
All of them lived in Rockingham County, Virginia. Franklin might have lived
in West Virginia before Rockingham but not sure. Please if anyone knows of
these Caldwell's email me at Mightybison4(a)cs.com
Thanks,
Karen Caldwell Hardin
Barb,
Do you know if any of these Caldwell's ended up in Ohio? I have a Rachel
Caldwell who I have been trying to find the parent's of for years. She fit's in
age wise to your James. Hope to hear from you or anyone that can help.
Bonnie
I have a James CALDWELL born 18 Jan 1865 in Charlotte county, Virginia.
He married a Levicy/Lucy KING born 26 Nov 1769 in Stafford County,
Virginia. They were married 18 Sept 1789 in Nelson COunty, KY. He
supposedly had a son, John W. CALDWELL born 17 Jun 1790 in Kentucky who
is my gggg grandfather. He was married to Harriet
TOMLINSON/TUBBLESTON/TUMBLESTON. James was supposedly the son of David
CALDWELL born 1709 in Donegal Ireland. However I looked at the
caldwell genealogy site mentioned earlier and they do not have James
listed as mine is, so I am unsure of his lineage. Supposedly David
died in the Cub Creek area. Does anyone know of James CALDWELL? He
died 15 Jun 1825 in Nelson COunty, KY, later called Bullitt County. If
so, do you know if John is his son, and who his parents are?

Please feel free to delete this inquiry if it is a duplicate of one that was
sent earlier.
On October 17, 1785 a WILLIAM GADBERRY was surety for CHARLES PALMORE and
JANE CALDWELL'S marriage. She was the daughter of THOMAS CALDWELL, Cumberland
County, VA.
If you have seen any of these names during your research, I would be
grateful to hear.

Caldwell who married Jacob Miller (born in 1806) in Washington County.
