I am searching for my brickwall Caldwell named as Weld in our Caldwell
Bible. It says he was born May 15th, 1851. I searched the 1880 Census
and I found three Caldwells born in New York in that year in the whole
USA. My question is: Does anyone know if these Caldwells are a part of
their line to prove them not to be my Caldwell? If they are all
accounted for in other lines perhaps I will have to say he passed away
before the 1880 Census or was not in the country. Here are the three
Caldwell's born in NY in 1851 in the USA:

gloria,
i am trying to learn the descendants of this line in that my wife's ancestor Margaret Caldwell b. 1815 m. George Cummings b. 1809 Nova Scotia is likely related. she is listed in the 1881 census as Margaret Cummins living as a widow with John Marshall Caldwell, his wife Sarah A. (both are age 79) and their daughter Anna M. in Centreville, Kings Co. NS. John Marshall Caldwell is supposedly a child of John Caldwell and Nancy Clarke - i suspect that our Margaret Caldwell is either a younger sister to John Marshall or a cousin but i know practically nothing about John Caldwell & Nancy Clarke's family - can you share what you know on them and their children? thank you.

I am looking for the location of Fred Weaver's Farm in Alleghany County. If anyone is familiar with the location please advise how I can get there from Kernersville.
Jane I have starting at the last known Caldwell you have listed. I then
have Andrew and Margaret - I only have one child Andrew Jackson; then I have
Andrew J and Francina and a list of there 14 children. Then I show a second
wife - Sarah Campbell (Ragsdale) and one son. One of Andrew J and
Francina's children was Anna McKinney Caldwell (Hays) who married my Nance.
I was trying to see if anyone was further back in this line than me.
If anyone had the children of the ones I don't, also to verify the
information I have on Andrew J's 14 children.
Are you up to that task??? ;0;0

I have some info on Andrew Jackson Caldwell born 1775. I have a copy of his will but can't put my hands on it right now. He went to Hempstead Co., AR in the 1820's but went back to KY about a year before he died. I have a list of his children etc. I'm willing to share with you what I have.
I also believe that the Jacksons are connected double or triple with the Caldwell line but haven't figured it out yet.

There is a Newnan Georgia in Coweta County, but no Noonan in GA that I am
aware of. It must be a misspelling. I am interested in Thomas Rogers
Caldwell's name. Do you know where the name Thomas Rogers came from?
My Rodgers (Rogers) were with the John Caldwell Cub Creek Settlement of
Scots-Irish Presbyterians in Lunenburg/Charlotte Cty VA from about 1745.
Brothers Thomas and William Rodgers were among this group. William Rodgers
married Margaret Caldwell, daughter of John Caldwell.Thomas Rodgers married
Elizabeth Carr. The Caldwells, Rodgers and other families moved to 96th Dist
(Laurens area) SC about 1770. My Rodgers moved to now Rockdale Cty GA about
1825. Do you think your Caldwells moved directly from Ireland to SC or did
they come via PA and VA to SC? Appreciate any info.

I am searching for the ancestors and parents of Cephus Wayne Caldwell, I want to do his family tree for his son who is my nephew, but don't have a lot of information to go on.
This is what I do have.
Cephus Wayne Caldwell b. 11-27-1964, his parents are:
Father: Kelly Caldwell
Mother's name is Margie, but I have no maiden name and unfortunately that is all I have at the moment, Wayne was raised by someone else and took the last name of Smith so most of his adult records are listed as Wayne Smith. I am told his parents lived in Leslie County practically all of their lives, I know his mother is still living but his father passed away years ago in a bar fight. I am also told some of his brothers and sisters still live in Leslie Co also. Any help would be greatly appreciated in helping me get started on my nephew's family tree because his parents are divorced so details are very scanty right now.
Thanks, Lori Wells
