Albuquerque Journal - November 17, 2003
Greggory Ray Caldwell passed away at his home in Albuquerque on November 13, 2003, at the age of 34. Born and raised in Santa Fe, NM, he is survived by his mother, Lynda Madrid and husband, Michael; brother, David; all of Santa Fe; aunt and uncle, Joan and George Robbins; of Phoenix, AZ; cousin, Geoffry Robbins of Albuquerque; grandmother, Virginia Robbins; of Memphis, TN; niece, Tasha Caldwell of Albuquerque; his closest confidants, Julie Carrasco and Luis Arias; both of Albuquerque; Godson, Angus Brownrigg of Albuquerque and of course, Carlos, his fabulous hairless cat; along with too-many-to-name beloved friends. Gregg came to Albuquerque to become one of the city's most sought after stylists. In the 1990's he owned IBEX Hair Salon, later worked for the prestigious Joseph Cozza Salon in San Francisco. Returning to New Mexico he worked at NEUN, then Heart & Soul Salon. This year he moved to CHEZ D'OR Salon & Day Spa. Never one to sit still, Greggory traveled the world and !
loved to shop, with an exquisite eye for fashion (one of his many passions). He was an active volunteer for many causes and was a key organizer for such benefits as the early Creme de la Do and the Elsa Ross Fashion Shows. His generosity was endless, and he was a fiercely loyal ally. His passing will be felt for a long time in this city - the butterfly effect of someone who touches and affects so many others. Gregg's sardonic wit, memorable laugh and benevolent heart will be terribly missed by all of his family and friends; all those people who loved him deeply. One of his favorite songwriters, Ben Watt from Everything But the Girl put it best in their song Old Friends: "Standing here with my arm around you life's moved on And all its borderlines are being redrawn The winter has come the roads are white Everyone's home late tonight May we stay or will it depend as old friends In the end still old friends" Following cremation, a Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, No!

I have never done research on the Cub Creek CALDWELLS but am beginning to
think that my Geo. W. CALDWELL, born abt. 1830 in PA, may be from that area.
Anyone have any info on a G.W. CALDWELL in PA around that time?
Thanks, Regina

Searching for Orpha Caldwell Reynolds. Married to Alonzo L Reynolds. Don't know date of marriage or place. Lived in Iowa, Kansas and finally Oklahoma. Lived in Oklahoma in the late 1890's I think. This is my G Grandmother and G Grandfather. He was in Civil War.Have no records of Orpha. Can anyone help?
Mary, read your post on your Caldwell line and I do not think I am related.
However, my Great Grandfather, James S. Caldwell married a Janie Mott!
Interesting huh. Do you know anything about your Mott side of the family? I have
not been able to find the parents of Jane Mott yet.
This would have been after the Civil War because James probably fought in
that war. He lived in Texas with Janie Mott and my grandfather was one of their
children.
I am related through the Cub Creek Caldwell line of Virginia (originally from
Pennsylvania of course). Hope your research goes well...if I can be of any
help to you let me know! I am willing to share anything I have which might
help you.
Another genealogist fanatic!

Still looking for Jacob Caldwell and wife Sara Chard mentioned in both 1881 and 1871 Canadian Census and each of their parents names. I would love to have names mentioned in the Chard/Caldwell Cemetery. Jacob and Sara had a son Peter who died between the 1871 and 1881 census. I wonder if Peter Caldwell age between 2years and approx. 10 years is buried in the Rawdon Cemetery. Maybe relatives.
Thanks for your continued interest.

I believe that your Elizabeth was the sister of my g g grandfather Newton Caldwell. The names and dates fit well.
If so, her parents were Robert Caldwell and Jennet Mclees. She would have been about sixteen or seventeen at the time they married. I have more data - contact me at WMCIII(a)msn.com.
