I've been looking for Ontario CALDWELL's for a long time. I have only
one name, Eliza Caldwell, b. abt. 1810. Married in Port Perry, Ontario
before 1840 to Abraham BO(U)LTON. Died 24 April 1869. Abraham and
Eliza had 5 children:
Charlotte Maria, b.12 June, 1840
Mary Eliza, b. 25 October 1841
Lydia Maria, b. 21, August 1844
Abraham Edward, b. 24 January 1852
John Wesley, b. 25 May 1856.
Considering the boys names, Eliza's father name could have been handed
down. So, I would be REALLY excited it you had an Edward, John, or
Wesley Caldwell on your tree.

Hello listers,
Is anyone researching Baltimore, Maryland area: Colwell, Caldwell, Colwel,
Colewell?
If so, I am looking for help/information on the following:
John Colwell (m) Molly --- (Both born Ireland)
=Daughter: Rebecca (b) Sept 1833 Ireland (d) Woonsocket, RI Aug 30, 1910
(buried Savage Cem., Savage, MD
=Rebecca (m) 3/12/1857 at Ellicott City, MD to Israel McKenzie/McKinsey/
McKensey.
She supposedly immigrated to the U.S. in the year 1860 as in the 1900 census
she was reported to have been in the U.S. for 40 years. This is not correct
however, as Israel and Rebecca were already married by the year 1857 in
Baltimore.
I would like to learn where John, Molly and Rebecca originate from in Ireland
or Scotland and what other children there may have been. Don't know much of
Ireland's history, but my mother tells me Rebecca or her mother was an 'Orange
Woman'. Does that narrow her down to a particular area of Ireland? Any help
would be extremely appreciated!
Joanne
I am looking for my great grandfather's father, listed as Geo. W. CALDWELL,
born in PA (according to the census record for his son, Wm. Augustus). This
George W. CALDWELL would have been born 1840 or before, possibly as early as
1810.
Anyone have any info to share regarding such a man?
He would also have been in TN in the mid 1800's.
He was married to M.A. NELSON, and resided at one time in Stewart Co, TN.
Thanks. Regina

In 1910 Hawkins Co. TN Census pg. 182A, ED 118
James Caldwell, head, 70, Married 2 times, b. VA, in Union Army
Birtie Caldwell, wife, 45, Married 2 times, b. TN
Caldwell, Mary H., daughter, 1 yr and 3 months
Stanton, Carl C., stepson, 9, b. TN
They had another child un-named buried in Butchers Valley Cemetery as: Infant Caldwell, b. & d. March 30, 1905, son of J. R. & Berttie Caldwell
Do you know which Stanton Bertie married before she married James Caldwell? James first wife was Sarah J. (Anderson?). James, Sarah and Mary are also buried Butchers Valley Cemetery. I don't know where Bertie is buried or if she remarried after James died after 1910.
In the 1930 Hawkins Co. census James Caldwell's daughter by Sarah, Margaret Caldwell Wilson Ball, is living with a Baker family. I will look it up again and see who the Baker's are and try to back track them in the census, maybe kin to Bertie.
Do you live in Hawkins Co?
Email me at vanhorn(a)planetc.com and I will give you what I have.
Is your Hugh Caldwell the son of Anthony Caldwell and Elizabeth Aiken?
Anthony is my ggggrandfather. Any help greatly appreciated.

I need any Info that anyone can prodvide about John and Hugh CALDWELL, and John GRACEY. They were
thought to be Immigrants from Ireland.
They owned adjoining land in 1762/1768, in what was then Berkley County, (now discontinued,) which
was changed to District 96 then in 1785 to Laurens and Newberry Counties.
The lands were located on the Little River above Mudlick Creek.
Thanks for any help you can give.
