In my search for my great-grandfather, John Caldwell, it appears he may have died and been buried in a Protestant Cemetery in Londonderry between late 1893 or early 1894. He was married to Margaret Wilson Gibson Caldwell and had several children, including Gavin, who was a resident of Londonderry during that time.He also had twin sons John and Andrew. If anyone can give me any information or steer me in a direction that might help find him, I would very much appreciate it.

Hi - I am searching for relatives and more information about John Albert Caldwell (my great-grandfather). He was born in Marion IL on 8 May 1878 and died in Purcell OK on 3 Jun 1948. His parents were Robert William Caldwell and Luerista (Arista?) Rushing. His wife was Mary Callie "Mamie" Frazier. If there are other relatives out there I'd like to get in touch and trade info about ancestors, descendants, and family history. Email me at gregory_gwen(a)hotmail.com.
Thanks, Gwen

I'm trying to find a member of the Caldwell or Elkins family who lived or went to school in Walnut Ridge, AR
My late mother in law had a charcoal portrait of three
young girls. Probably done about 1900?? A label on back said " Dora & Maude Elkins", "Caldwell" (with an arrow pointing to the middle girl) and "Walnut Ridge, AR"
I'd sure like to give it to someone in either family.
got and clues?

I recently purchased a Victorian studio photograph (Cabinet Portrait) of “Oscar Caldwell” at an antique shop in Sycamore, Illinois. I enjoy buying lovely old pictures like these in antique shops (with names on the back) and locating descendants/family members so that I can re-unite the pictures, for only my costs, with people who will treasure them.
This picture was taken by the Schwab Studio of Hoopeston, IL, and it is my estimate that it was taken in about 1895. Oscar is a handsome young man about age 25 +or- a few years. He is wearing a shirt, vest and outercoat and a tophat (so I don’t know his hair color). He has dark eyes.
The picture is 4- ¼” x 6- ½” and is an original, on heavy card stock, as was typical during that time period. The picture is in very good condition.
If this is your family or if you can relate to Oscar or the Caldwells of Vermillion Co., IL, please Email me directly at margerice(a)prodigy.net and I will get back to you soon.
