John F. Caldwell of Ireland and VA wife Margaret Philips had
William F Caldwell born abt 1704 who married Rebecca Parks (Parque).
One of their children was William Thomas Caldwell (have two birth dates
March of 1747/48 or abt 1735) I have that he married Elizabeth Ann
Williams and died about 1814----
their children were :
John
William T
James
Patrick Calhoun
Elizabeth
Williams
3 more that seem to have died before 1814
Does anyone have more info on these children? In particular William T
(World Family Tree says he died in 1814 but then it says all the
children either died in 1814, before 1814 or after 1814)
I have a William Thomas Caldwell born 1801 possibly Georgia but he may
have been born in SC and earlier since he was dead by 1850---most likely
1847 in Nashoba County, MS. His wife Ellen Burgess Hughes Caldwell and
the children moved to Attala County by the 1850 census---where there
were relatives of hers and some other Caldwell that I can't link to the
rest.
Does any have any infomation? In their family Bible Ellen writes that
her husband was related to Martha Caldwell Calhoun---perhaps it was thru
Martha's brother William Thomas?
thanks

I'm real close to a ancestor connection for the Joseph of the 1802 Westmoreland Will and need a little help.
Recent information suggests that this Joseph was the son of William, son of George, brother of Cub Creek John.
Does anyone have any information on the line of George m. Jane Phillips that could help confirm or deny this?
Also looking for info on Robert Caldwell b. abt 1759 m. Elizabeth Alexander? Joseph Caldwell b. abt 1769 PA/OH? Elizabeth Caldwell b. abt 1771 m. Baird?
Thanks!
Is there a site that I might look up World War 1 records? Is it listed by
name or birth date?
I have been searching for years and cannot get any leads on James S.
Caldwell dob April 1898..Would he be about the age for World War 1?

Looking for Dan Boyd who was seeking info on Perry Newton Caldwell's
family---Found more info on Perry's Parents but have lost Dan's email
and address---of course one of our cousins sat on this info for 3 months
and while I had to get it 2nd hand she may have sent it to Dan already.
Perry's father William Thomas was son of William Thomas who was son of
Robert Caldwell and Mary Logan but I can't prove it and would like to
know what records my cousin found that prove it---she wasn't very forth
coming.
thanks

I have recently come across the death certificate for William A. CALDWELL, my
great grandfather, b. 1861, TN, died 1916 in Peoria Co., IL.
The informant on the certificate was George CALDWELL, his son, living in
Jacksonville, IL. I would like to contact anyone out there who might be
related or know of someone who is related to this George CALDWELL, b. 1893,
New Liberty, Pope Co., IL. I believe this George to be the brother of Lula
Belle CALDWELL VEDDER, who lived many years in Morgan Co., IL.
Thanks for any help,
Regina

I have a Geo. H. CALDWELL, son of William A. CALDWELL and Emma R. GOLDEN
CALDWELL. George was born abt. 1893, around New Liberty, Pope Co., IL, and
had a brother, Claude CALDWELL, and sisters, Bessie, Lula, and Effie
CALDWELL. Is there a chance they may be related to your Geo. S. CALDWELL?

There are lots of Cauldwells from Scotland who immigrated to Pennsylvania.
Their name most often changed to CALDWELL in the US.

Scottish, or Irish? Was he part Indian? He was a fur trader. This is all
I know of him. My great-uncle maintains that he came from England with two
or three of brothers. However, I cannot find any records of his passage.
Caldwell is a typical Cherokee and Ojibway surname. Please help me.

Is your James Caldwell the same man who I posted the query about? My James was from either Westmoreland, Fayette, or Somerset county. He could of been a son of the James you spoke of.

I would like to hear from anyone with knowledge of Caldwells living in Thornaby-on-Tees, Yorkshire between 1900 and 1930. We know the later history, but want to work back. Particularly James Caldwell and wife Annie Grafton, both probably born before 1877....but where? Thanks for pointers. Grant Symons
