Hi! I love doing research on my family. I just spent all day today in
Caldwell, Ohio, at their lovely library. But no luck. The town was
named after a different line of Caldwells from mine. I received an
E-Mail from a Caldwell whose line comes from Scotland but my line
supposily comes from Ireland. I think they were ship builders but went
bankrupt.
It's all like a giant puzzle and every little scrape of information
helps so thanks for your comeback..

Dear Gary,
Wonderful to hear from you. At this point we are a wall with
our Caldwells and just hearing from one is great. If you don't
mind I will forward your name to two other cousins of mine that
I have found through the web. Two of us are descendents of
James B. Warren and Sarah Caldwell and the other descended from
Samuel Caldwell and Anna Elizabeth Warren. They are brothers
and sisters.
Welcome to the Caldwell research. You may turn out to be our
lucky charm. We are confident, from census records, that our
Caldwells came to America after 1841 and before 1855.
Good luck with your research and I would love to keep in touch.
Eleanor Southwick
