I have just received the following message from "Scottish Documents",
providing a list of the courts from which Wills can now be obtained on-line.
My apologies in advance to those who will see this on various Lists, but I
know there has been discussion on most of them (if not all) about what is
available:

The latest version of
www.scottishdocuments.com now offers you high-quality
colour images of 150,000 Scottish wills, testaments and inventories for sale
at just 5GBP per document. The images are completely authentic digital copies
of the original documents.
Searching the index of over 355,000 'defuncts' remains absolutely free, too,
and don't forget the Research Tools to help you with different spellings of
surnames, forenames and occupations. We also have the answers to over 50
Frequently Asked Questions about
www.scottishdocuments.com to help you with
our resources.
When you get your search results the right hand column will tell you if the
document of your choice is available for sale yet. If it is, clicking on the
`More Info’ option will give you further information, to help you decide if
this is the document for you. Testaments, inventories and wills from the
following courts are now available:
St Andrews Commissary Court Testaments (1549-1823)
Aberdeen Commissary Court Testaments (1657-1823)
Aberdeen Sheriff Court Inventories and Wills (1824-1875)
Alloa Sheriff Court Inventories and Wills (1824-1875)
Ayr Sheriff Court Inventories and Testamentary Deeds (1824-1875)
Edinburgh Commissary Court Testaments (1567-1648 & 1725-1746)
Edinburgh Sheriff Court Inventories and Wills (1808-1875)
Glasgow Commissary Court Testaments (1547-1610 & 1761-1823)
Glasgow Sheriff Court Inventories (1804-1875)
Glasgow Sheriff Court Settlements (1817-1837)
We will be adding to this list regularly and will send you updates of what is
available. The next courts to look out for are Stirling Sheriff Court in
January 2003 and Perth Sheriff Court in April 2003. We hope to have a more
comprehensive timetable of availability in our next update. >>
Hope this helps ......
