Does anyone have CALDER family in LIVERPOOL from about 1840 to date? My
CALDER's came down from Scotland in early 19C. If so, please reply off the
list to me at portrise(a)hotmail.com
I have many such relatives in my tree including a very colourful character ,
Charles Henry Calder, born 1882 (not 1889, according to IGI). He deserted
from the Navy in WW1, then joined the Army. He was jailed for bigamy in the
1930's , either living or in prison in Manchester? He was later a minister
of a church , Baptist? in Huyton. A scoundrel! - a Pastor Jeffries visited
Charlie's church. Charlie hired a wheelchair for second wife, Daisey who had
nothing wrong with her legs. Jeffries pretended to heal her! - from David
