Hello listers -
I'm a newbie to the list, hoping to fill in the gaps in my family tree. My
Calder connection is through my gg-grandmother, Margaret CALDER. Margaret was
born in Scotland, probably around 1800 (her son, my g-grandfather, was born in
1829). Margaret married Charles CRAWFORD, a baker and, at the time of my
g-grandfather's birth, lived in Kilsyth, a small town in Stirling County
northeast of Glasgow. She died by 1875, the year my g-grandparents married.
This isn't much to go on and Margaret was apparently a very popular name, but
I've got to ask: Does this ring any bells with anyone?
