My Kennedy / Cairns connection was not until mid 1800's, (maybe 1850's or
1860's), in County Down.
I don't know if they or their children ever left Ireland.

Did your Cairns family come to the US and if so where, when?
We have a Hugh Cairns family from County Down (we don't know where yet)
connected with Maxwell that came to Pittsburgh in the 1820's. We suspect
they travelled with others from County Down.
