DISCUSSION
If Henry Caldwell MIZNER married Marry Stevenson CAIRNS by 1820 and she was
born 1807, the most she could be at marriage would be 13. Although possible,
it is highly unlikely. Given that her parents were married in 1800, it is
more likely that she was born closer to 1800. However, see censuses below.
* In USC 1830 IL Mary MIZNER is listed as 20-30 (= b. 1800-1810)..
* In USC 1850 IL Mary SEMPLE is listed as 43 (= b. 1807)
* In USC 1860 IL Mary SEMPLE is listed as 50 (= b. 1810),
* In USC 1870 IL Mary SEMPLE is listed as 63 (= b. 1807)
The USCs seem to support the 1807 birth date. This being established, there
is no way that Mary Stevenson CAIRNS could be a child of Richard BOND who died
before 1800 when his widow, Mary Stevenson BOND, married Caldwell CAIRNS.
Unanswered questions:
* When and where did Mary STEVENSON marry Richard BOND?
* Did Mary STEVENSON and Richard BOND have any children?
* When and where did Richard BOND die?
* When and where did Mary Stevenson CAIRNS marry Henry Caldwell MIZNER?
Any takers?
Best regards,
Hugh
