Dear Stephanie, this list is not very busy - but I'd thought I'd let you know that
I have a friend (also a Cairns researcher) who had some cousins migrate from Scotland to
the Buffalo, NY area. I'm not clued into the geography of NY. Is Troy anywhere near
Buffalo? As for your Margaret, have you looked at the state of NY website vital records
for info on requesting adoption records? Some states have strict restrictions on them -
but every state is different. Good luck in your research. -Jeff

Looking for assistance in locating a Margaret Theresa Cairns (middle name spelling?). She
was born abt.1934 in Troy, New York. I did find a Margaret born in Troy about 1925 and
1926 bort to a Joseph and Alma. Margaret had a son Joshua in 1965 and gave him up for
adoption. I wonder if there could be a adoption record also. Any help would be greatly
appreciated, as I am fairly new to this. Thank you.
