Careins of MD
Hello,
I am very interested in your line. My line is Carnes, which has been
spelled several different ways through the years. What I find
interested is
your John. We can track our line as far as 1797 with the birth of my
GGGGgrandfather. His name was Abner b. 1797, he had two brother's John
Fletcher, and Thomas. They migrated to Knox County, Ky sometime in the
early 1800's. We do know that the mother of these men was a lady named
Jennie Patterson. Jennie's father was a William Patterson. Her
father was
in the Revolution and acquired land in Ky and I believe Tennessee. I do
know that John Fletcher married in 1822 and moved to Indiana. Abner and
Thomas married in 1822, but remained in Knox County.
Do you know anything about the John that you have listed? I know that he
would have only been 16 at the time of Abner's birth, but Abner's date of
birth could possibly be wrong. Thanks for any help, Becky
